Al-Khuwair Skyscraper Project in Progress – Construction to Begin by Year-End

The Omani Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has confirmed that the $1.3 billion Al-Khuwair Skyscraper Project in Muscat is progressing as planned and will soon enter the detailed design phase. The construction of this project is set to begin by the end of the current year and is expected to have a significant impact on the development of Muscat urban infrastructure and contribute to real estate investment in Oman.

Details of the Al-Khuwair Skyscraper Project

This Al-Khuwair Skyscraper Project, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, will expand over an area of 3.3 million square meters and will consist of five main sections:

The Al-Khuwair Skyscraper Project is part of Oman Vision 2040, designed to balance modern infrastructure development with the preservation of the country’s natural heritage. Strategic Location of the Al-Khuwair Skyscraper

📍 This urban development project in Muscat is located near the Al-Khuwair desalination plant and adjacent to the Ministerial District of Muscat. The primary objective of this project is to support Muscat’s urban expansion and reduce population density in the area. While the Ministerial District will be preserved, it will gradually be redesigned in alignment with Oman’s urban development plan to integrate with modern city infrastructure.
