Eid Al-Fitr Holiday Announced in Oman – 2025

By the directive of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Eid Al-Fitr holidays in Oman for the year 2025 have been officially announced.

The Eid holidays for employees of government units, public institutions, and private sector establishments in Oman will begin on Saturday, 29th of Ramadan 1446 AH, corresponding to 29 March 2025.

Scenarios for the End of the Eid Holiday:

Scenario 1: If the first day of Eid falls on Sunday, 30 March 2025, the holiday will end on Tuesday, 1 April 2025, and official work will resume on Wednesday, 2 April.

Scenario 2: If the first day of Eid falls on Monday, 31 March 2025, the holiday will end on Thursday, 3 April 2025, and official work will resume on Sunday, 6 April.

The Ministry of Labour clarified that, if necessary, employees may be required to work during the holiday period, provided that appropriate compensation is granted in accordance with the applicable regulations.
