White House Expresses Sincere Appreciation for Oman’s Role in Facilitating Washington–Tehran Talks

On Sunday, April 13, 2025, the White House issued an official statement expressing its sincere appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Sultanate of Oman in hosting and facilitating direct talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The diplomatic meeting took place on Saturday in Muscat, with the participation of Stephen Wietkoff, the U.S. Presidential Envoy, and Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and was hosted by Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
