Chance of Rain Across Several Governorates in Oman on Saturday

Muscat – Saturday, 7 June 2025, The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Oman has issued an official weather alert warning of thunderstorm activity and rainfall in various parts of the Sultanate on Saturday, 7 June.

According to the alert, thundercloud formation with rainfall of varying intensity is expected between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

The affected areas primarily include mountainous regions in the following governorates: Musandam, North and South Al Batinah, Muscat, North and South Al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi

Rainfall is estimated to range between 15 and 45 mm, with accompanying weather conditions including:

• Strong downdraft winds (20–45 knots)
• Flash floods in wadies
• Reduced horizontal visibility
• Hail

The CAA has urged citizens and residents in the affected areas to exercise caution, especially avoiding wadies, open areas, and mountainous roads during the affected period.
