Oman’s 3- to 5-Star Hotels Earn Over OMR 109 Million (USD 283 Million) in the First Four Months of 2025

Muscat – Tuesday, 10 June 2025, According to a report by Oman’s National Centre for Statistics and Information, the revenue of 3- to 5-star hotels in the Sultanate reached OMR 109.213 million (approximately USD 283 million) by the end of April 2025 (first four months of the year)—marking a 17.3% increase compared to OMR 93.094 million during the same period in 2024.

This growth is attributed largely to an 8.6% increase in the number of hotel guests, reaching 831,751 by the end of April 2025, compared to 766,153 in the same period the year before.

The occupancy rate also rose from 53.4% in April 2024 to 61.1% in April 2025, reflecting a 14.4% improvement.

In terms of guest demographics, the highest growth rates were seen from:

  • Oceania: 57.8% increase (18,124 guests)
  • Africa: 57.6% increase (5,993 guests)
  • Europe: 19.9% increase (314,535 guests)
  • The Americas: 19.1% increase (28,843 guests)
  • GCC Countries: 12.6% increase (53,642 guests)
  • Asia: 5.4% increase (114,426 guests)

In contrast, the number of Omani guests decreased by 0.7% to 238,895, and guests from other Arab nationalities declined by 2.3% to 32,072.
