Elon Musk’s Video Call at the Annual International Sovereign Wealth Funds Meeting with the Attendance of Oman’s Crown Prince

The Annual International Sovereign Wealth Funds Meeting, hosted in Muscat by Oman, was expected to feature Elon Musk in person. However, according to Omani officials, he announced only a few days ago that due to a busy schedule, he would not be able to attend physically and would instead participate via video call. This decision led to the event being highlighted by Elon Musk’s remote presence and speech.

Elon Musk stated, “We must use artificial intelligence for advancement, but it is essential that this development is carried out with human and ethical considerations.” This perspective garnered special attention among the officials and managers present at the meeting, amplifying the prospects for broader international collaboration in sustainable investments.

Elon Musk at the opening of the annual sovereign wealth funds meeting called for investment in artificial intelligence technologies. He added, “Investing in artificial intelligence not only contributes to sustainable development but can also create new opportunities and improve the quality of life globally.”

On the other hand, Oman’s Crown Prince, Sayyid Thyezin bin Haitham Al Said, emphasized Oman’s unique position in the global arena and the country’s capability to attract foreign investments, stating, “Oman’s hosting of this event demonstrates its high ability to strengthen strategic partnerships and mutual investments.”

Furthermore, Robert Smith, another prominent figure at the gathering, stressed the necessity of maximizing the use of artificial intelligence in investment activities, pointing out that many large investment firms are currently leveraging this technology to optimize their processes.

This year’s gathering, themed “Omani Mandus,” with a special design inspired by Omani heritage, has provided an opportunity to showcase the vast investment capacities of this country. The event also includes a series of specialized sessions focused on energy transition, artificial intelligence, and supply chains, aiming to present Oman’s cultural and historical identity to the participants.
