Non-oil sectors in Oman grow by 4.4% in Q1 2025

According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), Oman’s GDP at constant prices rose by 2.5% in Q1 2025, reaching OMR 9.43 billion, driven mainly by the increase in value-added from non-oil activities.
Strong performance in non-oil sectors
The non-oil sector grew by 4.4%, reaching OMR 6.92 billion, compared to OMR 6.63 billion in the same period last year. Key sectoral highlights include:
- Agriculture and fisheries: up 7.6% to OMR 273.6 million
- Industrial activities: up 7% to OMR 2.03 billion
- Services: up 3.2% to OMR 4.62 billion
Slight decline in oil activities
In contrast, oil sector activities declined by 0.4%, totaling OMR 2.92 billion.
- Crude oil production: down 2.2% to OMR 2.45 billion
- Natural gas: up 9.5% to OMR 475 million
