20 November 2025
Following the completion of the selection of the final four players in the singles category, the team competitions of the Oman Snooker World Cup 2025 kick off today at the Active Oman hall, operated by the Oman Automobile Association. The event runs until 23 November.

In the singles stage, Harvey Chandler of England became the first finalist after a 5–0 victory over Chang Yu Kiu of Hong Kong, China. Asjad Iqbal of Pakistan joined him in the final after defeating Nicola Mortreau of France 5–2. The championship match will now be contested between Chandler and Iqbal.

Although Omani players were eliminated from the singles event, hopes are renewed in the team category. Oman is participating with three teams:

  • Team 1: Omar Al-Busaidi – Ahmed Al-Khasibi
  • Team 2: Taha Al-Khasibi – Abdullah Al-Raisi
  • Team 3: Hussein Al-Lawati – Haitham Al-Mahdi

With strong coordination, valuable experience gained from competing against top international players, and the support of the home crowd, the Omani teams have a promising chance to achieve notable results in the team competitions.
