This arrival marks the 32nd stop in the ship’s ongoing world journey, representing Italy’s rich maritime heritage and naval excellence.

Amerigo Vespucci, renowned for its beauty and elegance, is one of the finest symbols of Italian shipbuilding and seafaring traditions. This vessel, specifically designed for training officer cadets, serves as a global ambassador for Italy, promoting the country’s heritage and advanced technologies.

Beginning of the Ship’s Global Voyage:

The Amerigo Vespucci began its round-the-world journey from Genoa on July 1, 2023. This journey, which is expected to last nearly two years, highlights Italy’s commitment to innovation, science, and technological advancement.

Welcoming Ceremony for the Beautiful Italian Ship ‘Amerigo Vespucci’ in Oman:

The ship is set to dock at Sultan Qaboos Port on January 8, 2025, at 09:00 at berth no. 34. The official welcoming ceremony will be attended by H.E. Pierluigi D’Elia, the Ambassador of Italy to Oman, Admiral Enrico Credendino, Chief of the Italian Navy, and other distinguished officials from both the Omani and Italian governments.
