Muscat – 14 June 2025, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a phone call on Saturday from Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, during which the two leaders discussed regional developments and pathways for de-escalation.
Prime Minister Meloni expressed deep concern over the growing tensions in the region and emphasized the importance of Oman’s mediatory role in promoting peace and dialogue.
His Majesty reiterated Oman’s unwavering commitment to diplomacy and peaceful conflict resolution, affirming the Sultanate’s continued efforts to support regional stability.
