HM The Sultan, President of Belarus Hold Official Talks

Muscat, 15 Dec (CONNSECT) –His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus held an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace today. The session primarily focused on reviewing the advanced and longstanding relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Belarus. The leaders explored various avenues to enhance cooperation and partnership, specifically in the fields of economic development, investment opportunities, technological innovation, and medical collaboration, aiming to benefit both Omani and Belarusian peoples.

In addition, the discussions included important matters of mutual interest, such as regional and international developments that impact both nations. Both sides agreed on the importance of strengthening diplomatic and strategic ties.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking Omani officials, including HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister. From the Belarusian side, key figures included Viktor Lukashenko, the President’s son and President of the Olympic Committee, and Maxim Ryzhenkov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with other senior officials.

After the formal talks, His Majesty the Sultan and President Lukashenko held a closed-door session to discuss further strategic cooperation in greater detail.
