This initiative is part of Oman’s broader maritime tourism strategy, aimed at attracting foreign investment, upgrading high-end coastal infrastructure, and enhancing the sultanate’s position as a regional hub for yachting and leisure tourism.
With over 3,000 km of coastline, Oman holds significant potential for expanding nautical tourism. Qurayyat, with its proximity to Muscat and pristine natural shores, is considered an ideal site for such development.
Similar projects have already been initiated across the country, including the expansion of Shinas Port and new marina developments in other coastal regions.
