Muscat Municipality has launched a major development project in Ruwi, Muscat, aiming to elevate urban infrastructure and enhance the vibrancy of Muscat’s commercial district.
🔹 Project Highlights:
- Development across 360,000 square meters
- Creation of 6,500 square meters of new green spaces
- 101,800 square meters of pedestrian pathways
- 2,458 new parking spaces to ease traffic flow
- Smart infrastructure, service kiosks, and modern public facilities
🔹 Objectives of Muscat’s Commercial Project: The development of Ruwi, Muscat, is part of a broader vision to boost the future of Muscat’s commercial hub, aiming to:
- Improve quality of life for residents
- Attract local and international investments
- Transform Ruwi into a vibrant, sustainable commercial and tourism center
Alignment with National Plans: The project aligns with Oman Vision 2040 and Muscat’s Master Plan, emphasizing sustainable growth, expansion of public spaces, and creation of a modern, dynamic city.
Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, stated:
“Ruwi, Muscat, is set to become a model for sustainable urban development and a leading commercial hub in Muscat.”
With the launch of this project, Muscat’s commercial district is on its way to becoming one of the most attractive and bustling areas of the capital — a place full of life, business, and tourism opportunities.
