Oman Airports announced that Muscat International Airport has become the first airport in the world to deploy Wi-Fi 7 technology, implemented in partnership with Huawei as part of the Sultanate’s digital transformation program and Vision Oman 2040 objectives.
Wi-Fi 7 enables the airport to support a significantly higher number of users simultaneously—a critical capability for a hub that serves over 40,000 passengers per day. Travelers will now experience faster, more stable, and more secure connectivity throughout all airport areas, including lounges, gates, cafés, and retail spaces.
