Oman Air to Launch Direct Flights to Amsterdam Starting 1 July 2025

Amsterdam – April 15, 2025
Oman Air has announced the launch of direct flights between Muscat and Amsterdam, marking its 11th destination in Europe. The service will begin on 1 July 2025 with four weekly flights connecting Muscat International Airport to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
This announcement was made during the official three-day state visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Netherlands, which began on 14 April, in a ceremony attended by Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, and Pieter van Oord, CEO of Royal Schiphol Group.
Strengthening Economic and Tourism Ties
“We’re proud to launch direct services to Amsterdam—our first gateway to this vibrant city,” said Con Korfiatis.
“Europe is our second-largest market by revenue, and Amsterdam stands out as a major hub for both business and leisure. The growing economic ties between Oman and the Netherlands make this a strategic addition to our expanding European network.”
Pieter van Oord added:
“We are delighted to welcome Oman Air to Amsterdam. This direct connection marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties and improving connectivity for travellers between our two nations.”
Oman Air’s First New Route under oneworld Alliance
Amsterdam will be Oman Air’s first new destination following its integration into the oneworld Alliance. Eligible passengers—including Business Class, oneworld Emerald & Sapphire, and Sindbad Gold & Silver members—will benefit from access to the oneworld Lounge at Schiphol Airport.
The service will operate during the summer season using state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 aircraft, offering onward connections to over 40 destinations including Thailand, Zanzibar, Indonesia, India, and Malaysia. Passengers can expect award-winning service and authentic Omani hospitality for a seamless travel experience.
