Oman Enforces Midday Outdoor Work Ban from June to August
Muscat – June 1, 2025, The Ministry of Labour has officially activated its annual midday work ban for all construction and outdoor sites exposed to high temperatures.
Ban hours: Daily from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Effective months: June, July, and August
This policy is based on Article 16, Clause 3 of the Occupational Safety and Health Regulation, aimed at protecting workers from hazardous heat exposure.
The Ministry warned that violators will face fines ranging from OMR 500 to OMR 1,000.
