Central Bank of Oman: Only 7 Official Banknotes in Circulation, No OMR 100 Note Exists

The Central Bank of Oman has issued an official clarification, denying rumors about the issuance of a new OMR 100 banknote. It confirmed that only seven official banknotes are currently in circulation.
Official Banknotes in Circulation in Oman
According to the Central Bank, the following banknotes are valid and in circulation:
- 100 baisa
- ½ rial (OMR 0.5)
- 1 rial (OMR 1)
- 5 rials
- 10 rials
- 20 rials
- 50 rials
Warning Against Financial Rumors
The Bank urged citizens and residents not to spread financial rumors and to rely solely on official sources for accurate information.
