Oman Investment Authority (OIA) Profits Exceed OMR 1.7 Billion

The Oman Investment Authority (OIA) achieved profits exceeding OMR 1.7 billion in 2023, with an investment return rate of 9.95%, increasing its assets to OMR 19.240 billion. From 2016 to 2023, OIA contributed more than OMR 6 billion to the public budget and created over 1,300 job opportunities for Omanis.

Foreign and Domestic Investments

The Future Generations Fund (FGF) invested in 13 global funds across various sectors, achieving a 9.8% return. Additionally, OIA invested in companies developing innovative technologies and in diverse global investment funds.

OIA improved Oman’s credit rating by paying OMR 2.4 billion, including a prepayment of OMR 300 million in 2023. Local sector investments increased to OMR 2.1 billion, with the completion of six national projects.

In 2023, OIA and its subsidiaries successfully completed nine divestments, positively impacting the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) and attracting foreign investments. Subsidiaries also spent OMR 202.6 million on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
