Smart parking in Al Khuwair and Al Ghubra to be operational from Sunday

As part of its efforts to upgrade its systems towards smart and sustainable cities, in partnership with the private sector, Muscat Municipality has installed sensors equipped with vehicle imaging service in public parking lots subject to fees in both Al Khuwair and Al Ghubra areas. These will be operational starting from Sunday, October 13.

Parking reservations can be made via SMS to 90091 by entering the vehicle plate number, followed by a space, the plate code, another space, and the required duration in minutes (30, 60, 120).

Reservations can also be made via the Baladiyeti application or through the Muscat Municipality website for monthly or long-term parking permits.

The grace period before a parking violation is issued is five minutes.
