Oman Pavilion Wins Best Artwork Design Award at London Design Biennale 2025

Muscat – June 12, The Oman Pavilion has won the Best Artwork Design Award at the London Design Biennale 2025 for its installation “Memory Network,” created by Omani architect and designer Haitham Al-Busaifi in collaboration with the Zawraq Group.

The award was announced during the opening ceremony held at Somerset House in London. This marks Oman’s official debut at the Biennale, and its recognition has drawn international praise.

The installation reflects the strategic vision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth to support the creative potential of Omani youth. “Memory Network” reinterprets traditional Omani pottery through transparent structures that resemble digital data centers, blending heritage with modern design.

Aligned with the Biennale’s theme “Surface Reflections,” the piece explores collective memory, social bonds, and the values societies choose to preserve across generations.

The installation also includes an interactive digital element, where visitors can contribute their own memories, creating a shared and evolving experience.

This achievement underscores Oman’s commitment to promoting cultural innovation and highlighting the country’s artistic identity on the global stage.
