Thursday, October 17th Omani Women’s Day: Celebrating Women’s Role in National Development

The Sultanate of Oman will celebrate Omani Women’s Day on Thursday, October 17th, organized by the Ministry of Social Development. This year’s celebration focuses on culture, literature, and manuscripts, and will honor distinguished Omani women in these fields. The event will also feature an operetta titled “Eve of Oman.”
Wadha bint Salim al Alawiyah, Director of Women’s Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development, stated that this celebration reflects Oman’s commitment to empowering women and aligns with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s vision to enhance the role of women in the country’s development.
The event will highlight Omani women’s contributions to cultural and literary achievements and their participation in national and international forums and festivals.
