In a bid to strengthen the economy and develop various sectors, Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has announced 151 new investment projects. These projects will be implemented by companies selected through auctions.
According to the ministry, this initiative aims to promote agricultural and commercial advancements and optimize land usage across Oman’s regions. In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, 89 new investment opportunities have been introduced, focusing on agriculture. These projects cover over 9 million square meters of land and include agricultural, livestock, water resource, and fisheries projects.
Additionally, the ministry has introduced 62 new development projects, which include commercial, commercial-residential, and industrial zones spanning over 100,000 square meters.
To participate in the auctions, applicants must be Omani nationals or companies with at least 30% Omani or GCC citizen ownership. Applications are submitted electronically with identification or commercial registration numbers and a refundable deposit of OMR 500 for each project.
