Mays Motors has made history by launching Oman’s first electric vehicle (EV), an SUV named Mays Alive. The delivery of the first batch of these electric SUVs has begun, marking a significant milestone for the country’s automotive industry.

In an exclusive interview with Muscat Daily, Haider bin Adnan al Zaabi, co-founder of Mays Motors, stated:

“We have delivered the first batch of Mays Alive e-SUVs to customers this month. Reaching this milestone despite challenges and limited resources feels like a miracle.”

“The AI system acts as a real companion inside the car, engaging in conversations, recognizing the driver’s outfit and facial expressions, and offering interactive responses, making driving safer and more enjoyable.”

Challenges & Future Plans

  • The project was funded by a $1.5 million investment from Omani investors.
  • 10 Omani engineers and technicians were involved in the production process.
