Oman’s Golden Victory in Monza Italy: A Global Triumph at the GT World Endurance Series
Muscat – June 3, 2025, In an intense three-hour race at the legendary Monza Circuit in Italy, Omani driver Al Faisal bin Khalid Al Zubair, together with Al Manar Racing Team, secured a remarkable victory in the Gold Cup category at the 2025 GT World Endurance Series (powered by AWS), proudly raising the Sultanate’s flag in one of the most prestigious motorsport events.
Facing competition from 59 high-performance cars from global manufacturers, the Omani team—driving a BMW M4 GT3 Evo with co-drivers Jens Klingmann and Ben Tuck—climbed from 7th place in the Gold class to take the category win, also finishing 4th overall in the general classification thanks to an excellent race strategy by WRT.
- Started 7th in Gold Cup class
- Ben Tuck led for 48 consecutive laps
- Klingmann maintained the lead in the final stage
- The race included 84 laps with multiple full-course yellow flags
Al Faisal Al Zubair said after the win:

The next round of the GT World Endurance Series will take place at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium, with a 24-hour race scheduled between June 25 and 29, 2025.
