Oman Announces Ramadan 2025 Working Hours for Government & Private Sector

The official Oman Ramadan 2025 Working Hours (Ramadan 1446 AH) have been announced as follows:
Private Sector
✅ Reduced working hours for Muslim employees, set at 6 hours per day, with a maximum of 30 hours per week.
Government Sector (Civil Administration Units)
⏰ Official Working Hours:
- 5 continuous hours per day, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
✅ Flexible Working Hours
- Unit heads can implement a flexible working system, adjusting employees’ arrival and departure times based on work needs.
- Under this system, working hours can be set between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, and employees’ total work hours will be calculated based on their clock-in and clock-out times.
✅ Remote Work Option
- Unit heads are authorized to apply remote work for jobs that allow it, ensuring work continuity.
- At least 50% of employees in each unit must be physically present at the workplace at all times.
This directive aims to maintain a balance between work productivity and facilitating employee conditions during Ramadan.
