Over $3 Billion Allocated for Subsidy Support in Oman’s 2025 Budget

Oman’s 2025 General Budget has been designed to strengthen the country’s economic and social development, aligning with Oman Vision 2040.

More than RO 1.5 billion (approximately $3.9 billion) has been allocated to subsidy programs targeting critical sectors, including energy, transportation, water and sanitation, waste management, and food security. These allocations aim to enhance infrastructure and improve the quality of public services, ensuring better living standards for citizens.

2️⃣ Social Protection Programs (RO 577 million / ~$1.5 billion)

3️⃣ Water and Sanitation Sector (RO 194 million / ~$505 million)

4️⃣ Transport Sector (RO 82 million / ~$214 million)

5️⃣ Petroleum Products Support (RO 35 million / ~$91 million)

6️⃣ Waste Management Sector (RO 59 million / ~$154 million)

7️⃣ Food Commodities Support (RO 15 million / ~$39 million)

8️⃣ Support for Other Sectors (RO 25 million / ~$65 million)
