President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, Visits Sohar Port and OQ Refineries in Oman

President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus visited Sohar Port in North Batinah governorate during his official visit to Oman. Accompanied by his delegation, the President was briefed on the port’s competitive advantages and the investment incentives offered. Sohar Port, the largest in Oman and one of the fastest-growing in the region, provides a wide range of services through the ASYCAD Group, including ports, free zones, maritime transport, and integrated logistics solutions. The delegation also received insights into the latest expansion projects and ASYAD’s efforts to enhance the competitiveness of Oman’s ports.
As part of the visit, President Lukashenko also toured the OQ Refineries and Petroleum Industries headquarters. There, he was briefed on the OQ Polymer Complex, one of Oman’s largest petrochemical facilities, known for its significant production of polyethylene and polypropylene.
The visit emphasized the pivotal role of OQ Group in Oman’s energy sector and its global export reach. The President was accompanied by Abdul Salam bin Mohammed al Marshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, and other officials.
