Port Sultan Qaboos; Last Year Welcomed 431,000 Tourists and 110 Giant Cruise Ships

According to a recent report, Port Sultan Qaboos welcomed over 431,000 tourists and hosted 110 giant cruise ships last year, showcasing significant growth in Oman’s tourism sector. This data was announced during a recent meeting of the Muscat Municipal Council, chaired by Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidi, the Governor of Muscat.

The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has outlined development plans for Port Sultan Qaboos, aimed at enhancing its infrastructure to accommodate giant cruise ships and transform the port into a key cruise tourism hub.

Port Sultan Qaboos, with nine berths totaling 1,750 meters and a passenger terminal, offers services such as cargo handling, maintenance, and marine services, catering to both economic operators and tourists.
