1,000 Omani Rial Fine for Trading Used Tyreses

The Consumer Protection Authority has issued a new decision prohibiting the trading of used tyres. According to this decision, an administrative fine of up to RO1,000 will be imposed on those who violate these regulations. In the event of a repeat violation, the fine will be doubled.

If the violation persists, a daily administrative fine of RO50 will be applied, with the total amount not exceeding RO2,000.

The new law amends the previous Decision 257/2015 and also prohibits the circulation of new tyres that have been in production for over two years.
