Salalah Mills Company Signs Agreement to Import 110,000 Tons of Russian Wheat

23 June 2025, Salalah, Salalah Mills Company, based in Dhofar Governorate, has announced the signing of an agreement to import 110,000 tons of Russian wheat, scheduled to arrive during July and August 2025.
This step comes as part of the company’s efforts to strengthen Oman’s strategic wheat reserves, in response to regional developments and to ensure a stable domestic supply.
Engineer Ahmed bin Amer Al-Shanfari, Acting CEO of the company, told the Oman News Agency that the agreement is part of a supply plan for the second half of 2025, reaffirming the company’s commitment to food security and supply chain stability in the Sultanate.
He added that Salalah Mills is one of the leading flour producers in Oman, with a daily production capacity of approximately 1,500 tons and storage capacity exceeding 200,000 tons.
