Sultan Haitham to Make Official State Visit to Algeria to Boost Oman-Algeria Relations

As part of Oman’s expanding diplomatic outreach in Africa, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, will embark on an official state visit to Algeria starting Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the invitation of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

According to a statement by the Diwan of Royal Court, the two-day visit aims to strengthen Oman-Algeria relations, enhance economic and political cooperation, and explore new opportunities for bilateral collaboration across various sectors.

The visit underscores the importance of Sultan Haitham’s diplomacy in Africa, reflecting Muscat’s strategic approach to deepening ties with key African nations. It also comes amid efforts to expand Oman’s diplomatic presence in North Africa through direct high-level engagement.
