The Sustainable City – Yiti, located 30 km from the capital Muscat and overlooking the sea, is a groundbreaking project aligned with Oman’s Vision 2040 and the goal of net-zero emissions. The project is designed to create a sustainable, green community and is set to be fully operational by 2026, with a capacity to host 10,000 people.
Project Progress
- 96% of the infrastructure is now complete.
- Construction of the villas and other areas is 33% finished.
- School and nursery construction began in September 2024.
Why is Yiti Unique?
The city is designed to reduce carbon emissions by 78% compared to conventional homes. It will rely on renewable energy, water recycling, and local food production. The goal is to become Oman’s first net-zero emission city.
