Tropical Storm Asna in Oman

Tropical Storm “Asna” is currently active in the Arabian Sea with wind speeds ranging between 35 to 45 knots. The storm is moving westward towards the Gulf of Oman and is expected to veer south to southwest over the next 48 hours, gradually weakening and dissipating.

The National Early Warning Center of Oman has indicated that from Sunday evening to Monday, scattered rainfall between 10 to 30 millimeters is expected in the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Muscat, and parts of Al Wusta, which may lead to river and wadi flooding. Residents in these areas are advised to closely monitor the weather conditions and exercise caution.
