Uzbekistan Grants Visa-Free Entry to Omani Citizens Starting June 1, 2025

Muscat – May 25, 2025, The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has officially announced that Omani citizens will be exempt from visa requirements to enter Uzbekistan starting June 1, 2025, for stays of up to 30 days. The decision is based on Presidential Decree No. 87/F dated May 15, 2025.
Ambassador Abdusalom Khattumov, Uzbekistan’s envoy to Oman, stated that this step reflects the strengthening of bilateral relations and is aimed at enhancing cooperation, particularly in tourism, culture, and trade.
In the coming months, both countries plan to organize joint events, including tourism exhibitions, economic forums, and familiarization trips for Omani travel agencies and media representatives, to promote cultural and economic exchange.
In terms of air connectivity, Oman Air has completed its registration process with Uzbek authorities and is preparing to launch direct flights between Muscat and Tashkent. Additionally, Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air will continue its seasonal flights to Salalah, further boosting tourism and travel links.
Ambassador Khattumov emphasized that this decision demonstrates shared political will to deepen cooperation and paves the way for new initiatives that will benefit the peoples of both nations.
