Araghchi Arrives in Muscat; New Round of Iran Nuclear Talks Held

Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, arrived in Muscat at the head of a diplomatic delegation, as a new round of nuclear talks between Iran and the United States was held as scheduled starting Friday morning, February 5, 2026, in the Omani capital.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson, the talks aim to reach a fair and balanced understanding based on Iran’s national interests. The spokesperson added that despite negative past experiences, Tehran continues to emphasize diplomacy as the path to safeguard the interests of the Iranian people and preserve regional stability.
