Official Meeting Between Sultan of Oman and King of Bahrain – January 14
During a two-day official visit of the King of Bahrain to Oman on Monday, January 14, 2025, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain held an official meeting at Al Alam Palace.
At the start of the meeting, Sultan Haitham expressed his pleasure at welcoming the King of Bahrain and his delegation to Oman, referring to them as esteemed guests, and wished them an enjoyable stay. In return, King Hamad thanked the Sultan for the warm welcome and hospitality.
Key Discussions
The meeting explored historical and brotherly relations between the two countries and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields. Both leaders also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments and topics of mutual interest.
Warm Reception for the King of Bahrain
On Monday, the King of Bahrain arrived in Oman and was welcomed by Sultan Haitham bin Tarik with great warmth. The Bahraini King’s aircraft, upon entering Omani airspace, was escorted by fighter jets of the Royal Air Force of Oman.
Upon arrival at Al Alam Palace, an elaborate reception was held, featuring local artistic performances, and the Royal Artillery fired 21 rounds in salute. Subsequently, the two leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation between their nations.
Attending Delegations
From Oman, senior officials including Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, and other key ministers participated in the meeting. On the Bahraini side, the delegation was led by Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
