Oman’s Tallest Flagpole Installation in Al Khuwair Nears Completion

The installation of Oman’s tallest flagpole in Al Khuwair Square, in collaboration with Muscat Municipality and Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel, is nearing its final stages. The flagpole, which stands 126 meters tall, is set to be officially unveiled on Oman’s National Day in November.

The structure is built using 135 tons of steel, with a base diameter of 2,800mm and 900mm at the top. As part of a broader community-focused development project, Al Khuwair Square will feature green spaces, walkways, and cycling paths, creating a vibrant recreational area for residents and visitors.

The Muscat Municipality officially launched the project in April this year, in a ceremony attended by key officials, including Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, and Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality.
