Sunday, July 7; Official Holiday in Oman for the Advent of the New Hijri Year
Sunday, July 7, 2024, has been declared an official holiday for employees of the public and private sectors on the occasion of the Holy Prophet’s Hijra Anniversary and the advent of the new Hijri year 1446 AH.
The Ministry of Labour has emphasized that employers may, if necessary due to the nature of work, agree with employees to work on this holiday, provided that compensation is given for the holiday.
